ASUS sells more distinct laptop lines than most brands, so it pays to know what each name means. Chromebooks such as the CX14, CX15 and Chromebook Plus CX34 cover school and web use. Vivobook is the everyday Windows range, from the low-cost Vivobook Go to the Vivobook 16.
Zenbook is the premium thin-and-light line: the Zenbook S 14 and S 16 are slim, light machines, and the Zenbook Duo adds a second screen. For gaming, TUF Gaming keeps the price down, while ROG covers the high end, from the Strix G16 and Strix SCAR to the compact Zephyrus G14 and the Flow Z13 tablet.
ASUS often ships one model with several graphics cards. Check the graphics row on the model page: for games, it matters far more than the processor.
TUF is ASUS's value gaming line: tough, simpler builds with solid graphics cards. ROG (Republic of Gamers) is the premium range, with faster graphics, better screens and compact designs like the Zephyrus G14.
Vivobook is the everyday, budget-friendly line. Zenbook is premium: lighter, better built and often with an OLED screen. If you carry your laptop every day, the Zenbook is worth the step up.
A gaming tablet: a 13-inch screen with a detachable keyboard and enough graphics power for games and creative apps. It suits you if you want one device for travel and play, but a regular laptop gives you a bigger keyboard and screen for the money.
A laptop with two full-size screens, one where the keyboard normally sits. The keyboard detaches, so you can use both screens stacked or side by side. It suits multitaskers, coders and writers who want extra screen space on the go.
